Ordered via room service at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

We arrived at the hotel at midnight starving after a flight from Beijing and I immediately grabbed the room service menu and found the club sandwich.  Wow was I impressed when it arrived; this was a serious meal.  Two well-done fried eggs, nice leaf of lettuce, beautifully repined tomato, toasted soft baguette-styled bread… A+ job on these ingredients.  Unfortunately, and to no fault of the Crowne Plaza Mutiara, the bacon was awful.  I say no fault, as bacon in Malaysia is awful; be it a breakfast buffet, full English, or pasta carbonara, you’re not going to get anything that resembles what you think bacon should taste like.  Taking the fact into account, this club sandwich was a solid order and I loved every hearty, mouth-filled bite I took.  This club will fill you up.  As for accompaniments, nothing too special; the wavy french fries were nice but the thicker ones weren’t crispy, and extra the lettuce leaf seemed entirely unnecessary.
