Off to San Francisco for test rides.

Last month the team was here it was cold and rainy… fast forward 30 days and the weather is absolutely gorgeous. We set up shop in South Park, a beautiful, tiny park in San Francisco that feels very residential and is great for testing out our product.

We had about 20 test ride set up for Saturday, slammed with a new group nearly every 15 to 30 minutes. And that means a lot of energy needed, energy that coffee alone cannot product. I needed something extremely satisfying and fulfilling that would hold me over for the rest the day.

I opened up Google Maps and searched for sandwiches. You know what I was looking for.

A grilled cheese restaurant with nearly 5 stars and hundreds of reviews was only a few hundred feet away. Looking at their menu they had a grilled cheese club sandwich. How could I not?

Trophies lined the walls of this establishment. The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen had come first place several times in an annual grilled cheese invitational. All signs pointed to this being an excellent choice.

I didn’t really even look at the ingredients as I ordered. The employee working the registered recommended adding avocado to my meal, so I let them do that.

I brought the sandwich back to our spot in the center of South Park, where beautiful picnic tables awaited me. I sat down and watched as Simon gave his test ride allowing me to enjoy this moment of serenity.

Definitely a grilled cheese. A little greasy, but nice and moist and flavorful. For some of the bites down, the cheese kind of overpowered the rest of the meal, causing the tomato, lettuce, and avocado to get a bit lost, but overall this Club Turkey Grilled Cheese was absolutely delicious. The bread stood out among all other ingredients; crispy, buttery and soft, The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen knows how to do the grilling of a grilled cheese.

I had about 5 minutes to wolf down the meal before more test rides showed up, but it was exactly what I needed. And for those that visit the area, I highly recommend The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen.
