Ordered via in-room dining at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I didn’t need another trip to Vegas this year, but I wasn’t complaining when I heard the upcoming conference would be at Planet Hollywood. Only a 50 minute flight from Burbank, 3 nights in Las Vegas wouldn’t be the end of the world…

I had never stayed at Planet Hollywood before, but its location on the center of the strip couldn’t be beat. Nevertheless, while the location was ideal, I was tired, albeit energized, and focused on work, so enjoying the nightlife was not on my agenda.

On my agenda was work at the conference followed by work in the hotel room. And that meant checking out the in room dining menu. And that menu, you guessed it, had a club sandwich.

But next to the club sandwich, no ingredients were listed. Puzzlingly, every item on the menu had ingredients adjacent to it, while this club sandwich… it remained a mystery (see photo below).

How…. Intriguing.

I decided to order it without asking any questions, and I cruised through emails while waiting for my meal to arrive and the secret ingredients held within it.

No surprises here, sadly. Planet Hollywood’s club sandwich comes with the basic fare, and sadly, not well done. Well perhaps the ingredients were good, it’s just that I couldn’t taste any of them through the soggy bread drenched in mayonnaise. Coupled with the fact the sandwich was cold, I didn’t understand how anyone could eat this.

Totally underwhelming, I took a few bites and decided I’d grab a burger on the strip; in-room dining was not on the cards for me tonight…
